ST. KILDA COUNCIL

He pointed out- that while under the previous system i;f rutin"- the society had paid £37. under the new system they paid £IOB 16.*.- --The matter was referred In the Finance Committee for report. The following bank balances were shown--District fund account. £5.005 5> 5d (debit): speeial loair account, Xo. 2. £295 lis '9d (credit): special' loan account. No. 3. £3,210 17s 9d (credit); draiuat-v and sewerage account, £6Ol 5s 7d (credit). Accounts were pas.-ed as under: District fund account, £l6O lis Id; speeial loan account. No. 2. £6 9s 6d ; special loan account. No. 3, £9OB 9s lid. The Works. Water, and Lighting Committee notitk-d in respect to an open ditch in Dalgetv street that as the ditch, was in f: Kit v condition the committee recom-
mended that Mr Tiackley (whose drainage goes into the ditch) he informed that the council intended filling in the ditch, ami that he must connect with the sewer at once. The committee recommended also that tin- Town Clerk lie instructed to prosecute any person depositing hedge (dippings on the roads. Adopted. The Reserves. Hand Rotunda, and Ehe Rrigade Committee recommended that a scrvhv medal he granted to Koeniau' Aluif : and thai the council make a. donation of £2O to the brigade towards the expense of .sending members to the Tiinai'ii competitions.--Adopted.
