The Commissioner-General of Immigration reports that Hindu immigration is causing much concern to the United States, owing to the result of economic disturbance. If Hindus are. allowed i<< enter tho Philippines freely, he doubts whether they would not bo able to enter the United States from there without restriction. Tho Commissioner also refers to the utter failure to Ainerica.nise Hawaii owing to tho number of Japanese and other aliens. He. recommends that urgent steps be taken for this purpose. One- million Europeans are now yearly entering America, and the number is likely to lis largely increased after the war.
