The 5-Tih annua', show of the d'aieri Agricultural Society will be held at Mosaic 1 on Thuisday' next. This show Js usually held in November, prior to the metropolitan shows, but this neasoiithe committee decided upon a ciiaiifre and fixed a date after all other shows. Entries closed or. Friday last, and the I'iL'iu'es show an increase in every section, and., excepting the jubilee show, when a. special effort was made, constitute a record for the soeiotv. The Taieri show is noted throughout the Dominion for the excellence of the C'lvdesdale, Mock exhibiied. and this year will lie no exemption. A well-known Canterbury breeder has donate! a special prize for the most points in draught, horses, 'litis has lent additional interest- to the show, and some excellent will be exhibited. Tilde are entries in cattle, sheep,, and liirht- horses, while ladies from far and near v ill vie with one), other for pride of place in delicacies connevted with Ihe culinarv depa'tment. Th" prounds are within'five minutes' wail; of the Mosgiel raihvay station. Trains run between Dunedin and Moepiel at of about an hour, and a visit to the show will prove a delightful holiday.
