To-morrow she leaves for Wellington to complete discharge and probably fit out as a transport. The Whakatano, which has been loading produce at Port Chalmers for the past few days, was to sail this evening for further'loading at Tokomaru Bay. RETURNED TROOPSHIPS. Grim and grey the troopships Tahiti and Maunganui have arrived ba-ck at Porti Chalmers. The troops were landed safely at Alexandria in good fettle. The Tahiti lost 3 horses out of 282. The troopships bunkered for the return trip at Aden. The crews are not to be paid off, it is understood, and this is taiten to mean that these vessels, which still retain their special fittings, will again be used for conveying troops. The* Maunganui reached Port Chalmers to-day, and will go into dock. The Tahiti, which arrived yesterday, and the Hawke's Bav, which is coming shortly, are also both going into dock, so that quite a feast in the matter of employment will be provided for the workmen at th.3 port.
