—Works Committee. — The committee report, having accepted A. and J. Burk's tender of £55 19s 6d for contract No. A-190, d.c. Gornhill street, N E.-V. Tenders have been invited for contract No. A-194, d.c. Douglas street and Prince Albert road; contract No. A-135, d.c.. Dudley place and Braeview crescent; contract "No. 702, area No. 2, Kaikorai. New work.—Queen's crescent, Calton Hill : The committee recommend the board to extend tho existing work 264 ft to serve a house about to bo erected, provided the owner of the sections pays the first year's interest on the cost of the work." The number of house connection applications received for fortnight ended 12th December. 1911. was 105; plumbing work. 68; draining work, 74. —Finance, Committee. — The committee, report that since the, last meeting of the. committee tho sum of £B3O 8s 6&, has been paid into the credit of the board's aggregate fund. Pass hooks were, laid on the table showing: Loan account (debit), £44.301 15s Id; aggregate fund (credit), £1.193 14s.
