AT A FLAX-MILL, [Per United Press Association.^ CARTERTON, January 4 A. second fire in the fia-x plantation at Toogood's Longbush mill happened last night- Aided by a .strong wind the fire soon spread, and in a. very little time practically the whole. 400 acres were destroyed. It 'is estimated that tho loss will amount to £20,000. A HEAVY LOSS. PALMERSTON N., January 4. -V serious fire broke out in a flax area at Xoko'maru yesterday. About 400 acres were badlv "damaged. The losses will he heavy, but the amount is not yet ascertainable.' ' The chief sufferers are Seifert Bros, and Alters. ___________„
