[From Oua Own Cohp.espondent.] BLUFF. January 2. The Bluff regatta- commenced this morning in magnificent weather conditions, with big entries for every event, crews being down from as far north as Dunedin. It is estimated that 13,000 visitors from all over Southland btc- down for the day. Sir Joseph Ward, patron of the regatta-, was present. Following are the results:

Maiden Fours.—.Awarnn- 1. Riverton 2. North End (Dunedin) 3. Won easily.

Youths' Fours. —Railway 1, Awarua 2, Riverton 3. Won by two lengths

Maiden Pairs.—Awarua 1, Railway 2. Riverton 5. An exciting finish; won by half a length.
