Notice has been served on the registrar of the Eden electorate that a petition will be lodged with a visw to unseating Mr Pair, M.P. This is a legal preliminary deemed advisable lest the returning officer be not available, as was the case in Wellington tome years ago. The ground of petition relates to the issue of a document by Mr Harris, secretaiy to Mr J'arr"s committee, offering Mr Wesley Richards £IOO to go to the poll. DU'NEIHN CENTKAL. The meeting of tho executive, of the Qtago Labor Representation Committee held in the Trades Hnll last evening to consider the navigability of tiling an election petition to have Mr J. W. Munro declared the duly-elected parliamentary lepresentative for D'lncdin Central closed v.ithntit. any course of action being decided on. So far ps Mr Stat ham is concerned, we have authority for the statement that, as already rnnounced, 1m has fully determined to resign the seat and to seek re-election. The resignation will he forwarded to Wellington immediately after the holidnvs.
