At the annual meeting of the Acetylene Company this week a dividend at the rato of'B per cent, per annum was declared, and a substantial sum added to the reserve fund. It, will be of -interest to consignees to know that cable advice baa been received locally that, tho discharge of cargoes from the German steamers Wismar anil Lubeck, now lying at Batavia, has been authorised. ' The cargo will bo put at tho disposal of consignees at actual port according to clause 10 of tho bill of lading, on payment in Batavia of the unpaid freight anil a general average deposit of 10 per cent, in the case of the steamer Wismar and 5 per cent, in the ease of the Lubeck. All charges from alongside the German steamors is to be borne by tho consignees.
