ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
A schoolboy named Noel Smith was kilted at Woodville yesterday afternoon. For some time past "the school children on a certain road have been brought to tlia Woodvillo School and taken homo in a Mr Somervillo's brake. For a change Mr Somcrville took the children home yesterday in a motor lorry, which ho. has just imported. When the car was flowing up at the end of the journey Noel Smith, a stepson of Mr Roberts, a farmrv, fell off, and the wheel of tho lorry went over his head, smashing his skull. Heath was instantaneous. The deceased was seven vears old. Albert Eric" Andrell, aged 23 months, was drowned in a water tub in tho garden at his parents' residence at Grove town.— Blenheim telegram. Thomas Finney, single, about 23, was killed at, Niuota'pu Falls through falling over a precipice, a distance of 120 ft—- . telegram.
