BRIGHTON DOMAIN

From the "New Zealand Gazette' of the 20th of November last, wo find that the Governor-in-Council revoked the former appointment of the Taicri County Council, .and appointed a new Domain Board for control of the above domain. The following gentlemen have been appointed:—The "member of the Taieri County Council representing the Otokia Biding (ex officio). Messrs J. <4ray. Thos. Wm. Whitson, John M'lndoe. Edward Aslin, John Wright. William Henry Lobb. Oeorgc C'has. Hunter, and John Thornley. By the same order Saturday last, at, the School Hall. Brighton, was fixed as the time and place for the first meeting. This was duly held, the following being present:—Messrs W. H. L. Christie (member for the riding), J. Cray, J. M'lndoe, W, Lobb, J. Wright, John Thornley, and E. Aslin ■ Mr Christie was voted to the chair, and later, on the motion of Mr M'lndoe, seconded by Mr Lobb, he was appointed chairman for the ensuing 12 months. Mr E.
