A negro, charged with the murder of a postmaster, was lynched at Shreveport (Louisiana). The mob bound him to a tree with coils of wire, and burnt him to death. There have been eight lvnchings of negroes ab Shreveport during the year, five of them arising out of the same Postmaster's death.
