WASHINGTON, December 7.
(Received December 8, at 12.30 p.m.) There have been terrific Atlantic gales on the east coast. An unknown warship grounded on the Maryland coast, but was afterwards refloated. Much damage lias been done to shipping. Norfolk City is under water, and at Seabright (New Jersey) many houses -collapsed -when th« floods undermined them.
