HOSTAGES IN CONSTANTINOPLE,
PROMINENT ENGLISHMEN ARRESTED.
CONSTANTINOPLE, December 6
(Received December 7, at 9.15 a.m.) ■Sir Edwin Pears has been arrested and his offices havo been searched.
Talaat Bey, Minister of the Interior, threatens that unless two persons, presumably Turkish .emissaries, arrested at Port Said are released forthwith, he will seize British residents as hostages.
[Sir Edwin Pears is a barrister practising at Constantinople, where he is head of the European Bar. Ho is also a Press correspondent.]

LONDON, December 6. Turkish forces are concentrated between Enos, Adrianople, Kirk Kilisse, and the frontier of Bulgaria aggregating 500,000 men, well supplied with powerful artillery. They are divided into two armies.
