The quarterly meeting of All Nations Lodgo was presided over by A.D. Bro. Storer, there being a large attendance of members. After routine business had been disposed of the election «f officers was taken, and resulted in keen competition for some of th£ different chairs. The following wero elected: —A.D., Bro. J. Le Feuvro; ' V.A., Bro. A. J. S. Murray; Secretary, P.D.P. Bro. C. W. Jacobson (re-elected); Treasurer, P.A. Bro. R. M'Alpine (re-elected); 1.G., Bro. R. Lcftwich; 0.G., Bro. F. A. Voisey ; A.D.B.s, Bros. A. W. Robertson and C. W. Wade j Y.A.B.s, Bros. C. E. Thctford and J. W. Buchanan; Min. Secretary, P.A. Bro. H. C. Reeves (re-elected). It was decided to adopt the docket system instead of the pence book. A benevolent fund was established to defray the contributions of the brothers leaving New Zealand with tho Expeditionary Forces. D.P. Bro. Beazloy paid an official visit, and responded to the second toast. P.D.P. Bro. Brockie, P.A. Bro. Grant, and P.A. Bro. M'Donald also paid a visit, and wero heartily welcomed. Eight members of the lodge have been accepted for service with tho Expeditionary Forces, and other 14 are on duty at the--forts at Taiaroa Heads.
The half-yearly meeting of Linden Lodge was held on Tuesday. In the unavoidable absence of the A.D., V.A. Bro. W. R. Hill presided over a good attendance of members and visitors. G.V.P. Bro. G. W. Crawford, G.G. Bro. Harland. and P.D.P. Bro. A. Sunderland represented tho Grand Lodge. D.P. Bro. Beazlev, P.A. Bro. D. C. M'Donald (Lily), and P.A. Bro. J. Grant (West Harbor), candidates for district president, were also present. The balance-sheet and auditors' report wero adopted. These showed considerable progress. The funds now amount to' £2,055 19s 4d, an increase for the half-year of £B4 8s sd, and the total capital per financial member equal to £l9 lis sd. Tho membership shows an increase of 13 for the six months, and a net gain of seven for the year. There are 15 honorary members and eight widows on the books. Sick pay disbursed was £39 5s 4d (a decrease of £10). Interest received amounted to £54 6s 9d. Four candidates were announced for the position of district president, and a vote of tho members was taken and sealed for transmission to tho Grand Lodge. A ballot was taken for the election of Grand Lodge representatives, and resulted in the return of P.D.P. Bro. A. Sunderland and P.G.P. Bro. E. Sunderland. D.P. Bro. Beazley, assisted by G.V.P. Bro. Crawford, then installed the duly-elected officers as follows:—A.D., Bro. W. R. Hill: V.A., Bro. V. H. Freeman; Secretary, Bro. ]•!. Sunderland (re-elected); Treasurer, Bro. F. Farley (re-elected); 1.0., Bro. R. A. Morrison": 0.G., Bro. John Duff; A.D. Bards, Bros. T. B. Duff and Win. M'Kinley; V.A. Bards, Bros. W. B. Stanley and \V. Rae. Votes of thanks were accorded the installing officers, the scrutineers, and P.A. Bro. Bevin for services rendered. Tho toasts were responded to by tho Grand Lodge officers, D.P.s, and visitors, who all congratulated tho lodge on their progress, and expressed wishes for a continuance of usefulness and prosperity.
