A meeting of tho executive of the Otago . Centre of the _ New Zealand Athletic and Cycling Union was held on Friday night, Mr D. Al'Kay (president) in the chair. The Chairman made complimentary remarks in regard to the action of a large number of clubs in donating part or whole of their proceeds to the patriotic fund. W. P. Henry, Temuka t wrote applying, for the removal of his disqualification. The meeting decided to lot the disqualification stand. It was decided to forward the following remits to the general conference of the union, to bo held at Christchurch in January 7, 1915: That the Athletic . and Cycling Union take over the control of tugs-of-war, ■ , . That tho next annual meeting ho held in Wellington. That the constitution of the union be changed so ns to provide for roproseptatives on the head union from leach of the affiliated centres. Messrs A. A. Campbell, J. M. M'Kay, and A. N. Wylie wore appointed delegates to represent the Otago Centro at the general conference. Mr Callender, Hawke’s ISrty, wrote calling a conference of handicappers in Christchurch at tho sarno time as the general conference, tho object in view being to make a uniform standard of handicapping.
