Tho Patriotic and Recruiting Committee met voslenlav afternoon, the Mayor presiding. Mrs’ ft. M. Park and Mrs Beaumont were added, to tho committee. Mr J. A. Johnstone- regretted that he could not accept a scat on the committe<*._ owing to the vast amount of work he had in connection with the Patriotic Association. The secretary was instructed to write to the Patriotic Association stating _ that the committee were anxious and willing to become a sub-committee of the association.^ It was also resolved to hold a pubbV. meeting in the South Dunedin Town Hall (probable next Thursday).
