Orpingtons' (other than black', bantams 'other than game!, i Iconleg tumbler pignuts 'ether limn pouter, cropper. f tnlail. or.Jacobin pigeons An animated discussion arose ever the ballot for the championship,:-, the point being raised an to whether chibs who had not paid their subscription.-- could participate in (he draw.—The Chairman and Some of the mcmlters maintained that under ride 10 non-finamial clubs were debarred from participating in " any of the benefits of the association.”—Mr Walker said that they would he doing a very wrong tiling to debar clubs who had been affiliated for years and always held shows just because these clubs had not yet forwarded their I'ecs. It had been the custom in the past to allow all clubs to take part in the ballot, and redraw for any championships not. taken up. They would be going the right way to smash up the association if they persisted in excluding some clubs altogether.—Mr Shaw r,uggested as a way out of the difficulty that the clubs represented at the looting draw for the Fast Coast championships, leaving, however, a balance of 15. widen would to balloted for by those clubs at present nonfinancial when Ithrsir (subscriptions had been paid and a notification of their intention to hold a show sent in.—This was agreed to and the draw proceeded with, the re.-idt being as follows:—Christchurch —utility white Leghorns, brown Leghorns, and kfng-faced muff tumbler pigeon;
Dunedin—black Orpingtons, owl pigeon, Norwich crest or crest-bred canary; Ashburton—Orpington (other than black). Plymouth Rocks, magpie pigeons; Otvmaru —golden Wyandotte, bantams (other than game), Norwich buff canary, Invercargill —black Leghorn?. color-fed canary, bantams (any variety other than game); Waimale—bantam mny variety), pouter, cropper, fanlail, or .Incobin pigeons. On tho motion of Mr Walker it was decided that tho West Coast championship show be held at Westport. The ballot for breeds to compete lor the association’s challenge shield in 1916 resulted as follows:—Rhode. Island reds, Andalnoians, black Orpingtons, and Minorca*.—The Chairman mentioned that tho challenge shield is at rresent held h.V the Christchurch Poultry Club, and that m 1915 the following breeds will bo eligible to compote for it at that show: Indian runner ducks, black-red game bantams, eampines, and dockings. It was decided to hold the next annual meeting in Christchurch in November ot next vear, and the half-yearly meeting in Dunedin at the time cl the Fanciers blub show. The remit from the Southland Club proposing it conference with the Maorilc.ud Columharoan Society was withdrawn. Mr W. H.
