The Rescue Lodge, 1.0. G.T., hold their weekly meeting in the lodge room, Kensi ngtoif, when the C.T. (Bro. J. Hilton) presided over a good attendance of members and visitors. The lodge decided to go officially to the church parade, and urged the members to attend. The Pioneer Lodge visited the lodge officially, and were heartily received. C.T. Bro. E. Cameron spoke a few encouraging words on the good of the Order, and Bro. Cameron, jun., also gave an address. Mies Bisson (brganiser) gave an account of her work. After a short interval the sisters handed around fruit, and the rest of the evening was spent in harmony. A vote of thanks was accorded to the visitors, and was responded to by Bro. E. Cameron (Pioneer). The Hope of Dunedin Lodge of Good Templars held their weekly meeting on Friday evening, Bro. C. Adams, C.T., presiding. There was a good attendance of members, and some visitors from sister lodges. One candidate was initiated. The committee in charge of the concert reported that all the arrangements were complete, and that a pleasant evening was assured. It was resolved to attend the church parade at the Cargill Road Methodist Church. On the report of the delegates to the W.T.R.C. being made, a discussion arose re the candidates to be supported in the coming elections, but as the council had not completed the list the L.D. ruled the discussion our of order, and the question was held over. It was resolved to place collecting boxes on tables of the C.T. and V.T. to defray the cost of the Christmas party, and beiivg Dutch auction, the amount realised was placed in the boxes. A good programme of harmony was contributed, and the vote ■to the visitors was carried by acclamation. Vote of sympathy was carried by a bonding vote to a sister who had recently suffered a bereavement.
