(Recoived November 19, ;it 2.55 p.m.) Mercier, appealing for food on behaU at the Belgians in Maliucs, writes : "Famished children in desperation often go up to the Gorman soldiers and tear the bread from their hands The soldiers divide their bread with the children. Strangers travelling in either or countryside are surrounded by women and children begging for food."
