During the past week the Electric No. 1 dredge worked 154 hours for a distanco ahead of 15ft. The usual width of the cut has been worked, and the bottom still consists of sandstone and granite. Most of thy cat continues to be easily dredged. There was n small rise in the river during the week, Mid this caused the drift to mn into the cut. The river is now receding. The sample of gold it* of a mixed nature.
