WESTPORT COAL COMPANY.
The annual meeting of the Westport Coal Company, Limited, was held at the company's offices, Vogel street, yesterday afternoon. The Hon. Sir H. J. Miller, M.L.C., presided. There were present Messrs C. W. Chamberlain, G. L. Denniston, P. 0. Neill, W. Downie Stewart, and G. Joachim (directors), and about 10 shareholders. Tho report and balance-sheet were adopted, which included a dividend of Is per share for tho half-year ended 30th September last. The shareholders voted £SOO to the patriotic fund lor the Expeditionary Force and their dependent:, and £SOO to'the British and Belgian relict funds in equal proportions, and 5 per cent. bonus on the salaries of the staff. _ Messrs C. W. Chamberlain and \\. Downie Stewart were re-elected directors, and Messrs G. H. Statham and J. S. Ilislop were reelected auditors.
