MEETING OF BOARD OF .MANAGERS. Mr T. Scott presided over the meeting of the Technical School Board of Managers held vesterdav afternoon. Meters A. Burt W. Ocddes, J. A. Haslett. G. 0. Israel, T. W. Kempthorue, J. H. Wilkinson, E. F. Duthie. J. E. Wlu'te, A. F. Quelch, and A. M'Millan also attended. The director reported that with the exception of several special classes the. evening \vns finished, but a. miniof the class examination results had not yet come to hand. A few students had omitted to pay their fees, and he therefore asked for special authority to recover the amounts due.—The Chairman remarked that tho Board did not wish, to proceed against, those who were unable to pay.— The Director said he merely wi"hed to hava authority to sue those students who could pay and would not.—The authority asked for was granted. Tho Treasurer, in moving the adoption of th© Finance Committees report, said that as the. result of the recent, bazaar £450 had been handed over to the building fund.—Later Mr Israel moved a hearty vote of thanks to tho teachers and thos-? f.Mociated wiih ithem in ca-rryins the bazaar to si-cb a successful issue. Tt had originally been intended to make the bazanr a very m-xtest tiling—merely a sideshow in connection with tbe exhibition—but it had developed to such an extent that a sum of £617 had been taken in connection with it. Tho scboolfi, musical societies, and other organisations who bad assisted should bo specially thanked. T]ie motion was carried unanimously. The matter of the annual revision of salaries was referred to the Appointments Committee to report.
