A few fact* about the Otago Agricultural mid Pastoral bociety'e- f-diow. to be held at Tahtina Park on Wednesday and Thursday of neat week. Mr Fulton is quite happy about 'the entries. The total will be about tho same ».-> last year, sheep rather more numerous, and the entries come from all parts of the country. The war has evidently not paralysed our farmers. The park is in splendid order, tho grass good, the area of the big ring larger than before. On the first day the judging of the sheep, cattle, pigu. and the breeding • lasses of draught" horses is to start at 10 o'clock. On the second day the judging is to commence at. 9.30. There will be plenty of sport. No fewer than seven events are arranged for th« first dav. The hunting competition."? arc to lie a Fpecial feature this year. A new line on the prugramme is the wool-claesing competition, which will be managed by Mr J. M. M'Gregor. The winner will be the one that gets nearest to Bradford values. Another innovation at this show i« the amateur judging competition in the Clydesdale classes, open to competitors not- over 25 years of age who have never judged at am agricultural show. Everyone who goes in for this trial will be expected to write down not only hi» opinions, but the reasons on which they are founded.
