The South Auckland Methodist Synod opened at Hamilton yceterda-y, and unanimously carried the following resolution last night:

This Synod being very deeply interested in the welfare of the industrial workers of this district, and having been informed that there is great cause for serious inquiry into t!w present conditions of thing? in TCuntly, desire to enter an emphatic protest against anything approaching -victimisation and intimations to workers. Our protest is tho more emphatic because it has been found that (rood and true men ha-vo been unjustly deprived of employment, and their wives and bairns suffering thereby.
