* AN AREEST. [Pee United Peess Association.] WHANGAREI, November 5. Shopkeepers have been victimised of lata by means of gilded sixpences. The who have been investigating the matter, made an unexpected discovery last night. When they arrested & remittance man named Frank Eaton on a charge of drunkenness, they found epurious coins in his possession. They then searched his belongings at his boarding-house, and found a brush and gold paint. The accused appeared before the Court to-day, and vva* remanded for a week on bail.
