At the monthly meeting of the High Street School Committee the head master's roport showed an average attendance of 539. with an average number on the roll of 565. Tho report also stated that an excellent supply of clothine* had "neen sent to the Overseas Club for the use of destitute children in Belgium. The usual cft'er of tho Athenteum o: a prize, iu the shape of an annual ticket, for iho pot in general information was received_ with thanks. It was resolved that collection cards for the prize fund be sent out in the usual way. The Visiting Committee reported that the school was in the usual good order and condition. The question of supplying a new piano for use in tho gymnasium hall was left in the secretary's hands, to report at the next meeting of the committee. Alr3 Cameron and Mr S. Peden were appointed Visiting Committee for tho month.
