The Chairman reported that arrangements had been made for the provision of afternoon tea at the Bay courts each Saturday, provided not fewer than 24 teas were guaranteed.—Secretary to supply clubs with particulars. The I'oit Chalmers Club wrote statin;; thai owing to a number of their players being on defence duty at the Heads they would not be able to enter a team in club matches this year. It was resolved that the association convey to Mr Begg their congratulations on his election to the position of president of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association. —Carried. Thp .Southland Association wrote a*king if the Otago Association had any objection to their holding their annual Christmas tournament, seeing that the Xew Zealand Championships were to bo held in Duhodin on Kjcember 50 and following days. —Secretary to reply that the tournament would in lio way clash with the New Zenland Championiihips, and stating that the association had no objection to. at. The University Club wrote asking if it would be possible for their match with Anderson Bay, arranged for November 28. to be played on November 7, as their members were leaving next Monday on vacation.—Secretary to advise the University Club that, providing they made the necessary arrangements with the Bay Club, and that the match is played on the Bay Club's courts, they had no objection to the match being played on November 7.
