SUCCESSFUL BORING OPERATIONS. [Per United Press Association. 1 GPLYMOUTH, November o. Boring operations, which have been conducted for some time in the Liverpool State mine, have resulted in a valuable seam of coal, 25ft wide, at a depth of 150 ft below the present workings, being discovered. The quality is similar to that of the top seams. Boring operations stall continue in coal-bearing country, and further small seams, from Ift to sft, have been pierced. It is proposed to sink further bores.
