Registered letter mails close one hour and newspaper printed matter and sample packets, etc., 30 minutes earlier than ordinary letter mails. The posting boxes on the second express being available for late-fee letters only, all books and packets must be posted at the chief office. For Chatham islands (per Himitangi), from Lyttelton, by north express, at 10.30 a.m. to-morrow. Late-fee letters, 10.45 a.m., and on guard’s van at 11.15 a.m. For the Australian States and South Africa (per north, express), at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Late letters, 10.30 a.m.. and on guard’s van till 11.15 a.m. For Greymouth. HokHika, and Reefton at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday.
