Hardy were appointed a, committee, to confer with the Housed managers (the Hon. J. Allen, Messrs Staiham and Hanan! -upon the amendments in the Education Bill. The conference will take place at 6.30 p.m. The House having intimated its, insistance on its amendments to the Legislative Council Bill, the Minister and the Hons. H. F. Wigram and C. C. Hard; were appointed a committee to confer with managers from the House at 5.46 this afternoon. The Public Works Amendment and Pensions Amendment Bills were read a first time. The Council rose at 11,10 am. till 2.30 p.m.
