At Christchurch on Wednesday Thomas Edward Maude, who was committed for trial on charges of embezzlement a few weeks ago. again appeared before Mr T. A. B. Bailey. S.M., charged with that, in January, 1913, he received £2,400 from Thomas Ballan in terms requiring him to account for or pay the same tp James Copeland, and that he fraudulently converted the same to his own use. The ac.cwd was for trial.
