THE GENERAL ELECTION
It is stated that a requisition is being largely eignad by electors in Dunedin North asking Mr John M‘Donald to con* test that seat in the liberal Interest. A Hames message says that the election campaign has commenced. Mr Lowe, Mayor of Thames, who wats announced to stand in the Liberal interest, hae withdrawn from the contest to allow of a straight-out contest between Mr T. W. Rhodes (the sitting member) and Mt E, H- Taylor (Opposition).
