TBE COMING YEAR'S APPROPRIATIONS. [From Qua Pabuamkntabt Rppobter.] * WELLINGTON, October 20. Otago will have every reason to be satisfied with the treatment of its principal railways during the current year. There will be an appropriation of £20,C00 For the continuation of the Otago Central towards Cromwell, and substantial votes for Tuapeka Mouth and the further extension of the Lawrence-Roxburgh line. The latter will figure in this rear's Authorisation Bill. The Minister of Works authorises me to say that the Catlins Railway will he out of hand, so far'as his department is concerned, at the end of this month, as soon a* the inspecting officer of the ft ail way Department goes over the line. U can be handed over in the early part of next month.
