The Hope of Dunedin Lodge, 1.0. G.T., held their first meeting in their new lodge room, Moray place, on Friday evening. There was a good attendance. One candidate was initiated. Correspondence was received from the Hope of Christchurch Lodge conveying their sympathy with the lodge in the destruction of their regalia, also from the Reform Council re Mr Hammond's mission. Bro. Dr Russell, of Christchurch, also forwarded a card containing encouraging words. It was resolved to hold a picnic on Labor Day, and invito all lodges to join. The concert was postponed. Harmony was rendered by several members, and the visitors responded to the usual vote. Sister Cameron, G.S.J.W., made an interesting address on future events—viz., the competition for the banner and the united meetinti to he bald in the ww.»al hall.
