Y.M.C.A. CONCERT

A concert in aid of th© Y.M.CA. Harrier Club's prize fund was held in the Y.M.C. \. Gymnasium, Moray place, last night. There was a good attendance, and the audience were enthusiastic through ont. Mr G. E. Moreton, president of the Harrier Club, occupied the chair, and apologised for the absenc© of Mr a. A. Rrsevcar, president of the Olagd Centre. N.Z.A.A.A. Proceedings opened frith a pianoforte duct entitled ' Tarantelle,' by Misses Miller and Canington, Mfr $\ M. Perkins following with a good rendering of ' Veteran's Song.' Mr W. Pkilli|» gava a. couple of recitations, and Mr C James, the possessor of a good baritone voice, pto some spirit into 'Land of Hope and Glory. Master Scon Brown essayed Gounod'* ' Serenade,' and did himself credit. Mr W. Peimvcnick gave tastefully ft euphonium solo, "and Mr S. C. Law sou a (sympathetic m-derinir of 'The Irf«t Watch.' After a short interval Messrs Frye Bros, played a violin dwt, 'Fia Diabolo,' Miss M, 0. Brown following with a recitation. Miss A. Insrlis sane 'lrish Folk Song,' and Mr E. Ball recited 'On t!w Depravity of Mam.' Miss M. 0. Brown contributed 'Mr Gohlin.' and Messrs Bauehop and James scored a. success in the vocal duet, *The Dav is Pone.' Miss M Glaister acquitted heYVeif well in a lv.imoroiw recitation, 'Trials of a school mistress.' The accompaniments were played by Mite E. ,T. Miller. L.A.8., A.T.C L.
