A NEW ERA IN CURING.

VEEDEE VIBRATION THE MODERN WAY Ont of the most distinguished doctors in ‘ She world has given the following theory »s tho explanation of how- the pain in Rheumatism and Gout is actually caused: He says “ When the blood starts from the heart along tha arteries, its normal condition should be pure; but in a rheumatic patient it carries along, suspended in it, microscopically small, hard crystals of uric acid. These sail along the larger arteries all right, bat at last the diminishing arteries have dwindled down into the smallest capillaries (finer than hair). When the floating crystals reach the entrance ts these capillaries they are too large to get through, and so are pressed forcibly against the surrounding nerves, and the irritation caused by congestion and pressure is the actual pain of Rheumatism. Some way or other those crystals have got to be forced or helped to pass through those capillaries on into the veins. It is easy from the above to understand how rubbing or hand massage helps them through and so relieves the pain. These crystals then float along the veins to the lungs, there to take their chance of being oxidised by the air, and so breathed out, and otherwise worked out of the system. Ir. a patient suffering from an excess of uric acid, however, the lungs cannot entirely clear out those crystals, but only reduce * riAir ;ize, and so let them go on their round again, with the fresh ones that are always forming.” Now the above theory was put cut_ before the Veedee was invented; but incidentally it furnishes the most startling testimony of the value of the Veedee, and at the same time really shows how it is that the Veedee is the quickest pain reliever and carer of Rheumatism and Gout yet discovered. There is no possible comparison between the effect of a little rubbing or hand massage on the abovedescribed uric acid-clogged capillaries (with their surrounding accompaniment of muscle-twisting and nerve-racking pain) and the thrilling stream of vibration (8,000 per minute, if desired) that the Veedee sends right through and through the congested area. The _ effect is, of course, immediate. The vibration helps the uric acid to pass on through the capillaries, and so brings the blessed reliei iaom pain in two or three minutes. If it did no more than thus relieve, probably every sufferer from Rheumatism and Gout would feel he had to have one, even ir he had to sell his coat to get it; but the setfon of the Veedee goes further, _ and Oelps the cure. The effect of the vibration on those uric acid crystals is not ailly to pass them through the capillaries an" into the veins and so relieve the pain by- removing the congestion, but it actually breaks up these crystals, so that they reach the veins in a condition that greatly increases the chance of the lungs of getting them out of the body altogether. That is how it is that the effect of just »ne application of the Veedee over the seat of pain in Rheumatism and Gout is the instant thrilling out of those pains, and that the regular and systematic use af the Veedee almost invariably effects a cure of Rheumatism and Gout. Another class of sufferers who have much to thank the Veedee for are the Deaf. Perhaps of all forms of deafness, that which.is accompanied with Vertigo, Head Noises, and Dizziness is the most terrible and pathetic. Not only is the sufferer denied the pleasures of company, but because of tha fear that an attack of Vertigo might seize them whilst out and about they are forced to endure a life of semi-retirement and loneliness. Their lot is, indeed, one of many hardships, and it requires much fortitude and pluck to endure, especially in view of the fact that many eminent otologists deem the complaint incurable. However, hope should not be abandoned, even in the seeming incurable cases. The record ot tha Veedee shows that if it cannot in every case effect a radical cure, it can at least bring about considerable alleviation of the more distressing-symptoms. To parsons who are subject to sudden attacks of pain, neuralgia, for instance, the Veedee has proved of inestimable value. As soon as the pain is felt, it can at once be rflieved, usually in the course of a few minutes; the vibration, applied to the periphery, will have. influenced the centre, which is the seat of the distressing sensation, and the pain completely disappears. As soon as this result has been attained, tha application is stopped. Bhould relief be delayed, however, it is

always possible, without any inconvenience, to increase the vibrations, and, however employed, the Veedee will never cause muscular fatigue or diminution of nervous energy. Indeed, on the contrary, its action, by accelerating the general nutrition, makes it one of the best tonics we are acquainted with. This brings us to the fact that Veedee vibration is not of use to the sick only. One of its most remarkable properties is its great usefulness as a general nerve tonic. For the worried business man, or the woman fatigued by household or other cares, no amount of pills or mixtures can equal the Veedee. Its soothing action gently drives the tiredness away, and this without the damaging after-effects so 'often found wish the use of drugs. The field, however, in which the Veedee has undoubtedly done, and is doing, the most good is in the case of all such troubles as Kheumatism, Gout, Lumbago, Sciatica, Neuralgia, Neurasthenia, Constipation, Deafness, and a hoet of other painful complaints. Veedee Vibration is curing these, and will keep on curing them so long as there is an tche or pain left in the world. Some af the results obtained appear to be nothing short of miraculous, and the testimony of thousands of grateiul patients who have had their pains driven away 'by the wonder-working little machine is’ ths most convincing proof of all. An infallible index to the value of any method of treatment* Is the attitude of "the medical profession toward it; if they prescribe it, if they use it in their practice, we can then safely assume that it possesses more than ordinary merit. Now, as regards the opinion,of the medical profession concerning the Veedee. In England alone thousands of doctors are using and prescrib ing it. The same applies to almost all the Continental countries, and more especially in Germany, whose doctors and scientists are famed all the world over for their up-to-date methods. Wo find, too, that medical users of the Veedee are not only found in the ranks of the hard-working country and suburban practitioners, but by those foremost in the profession, including a Physician in Ordinary to his late Majesty King Edward the Seventh, the Physician to B.M. the Queen Mother of Holland, and the Physician in Ordinary to H-l-M. the Kaiser. It is safe to conclude that when such distinguished scientists as those quoted above use the Veedee that it must he the' most effective way of obtaining the results which they derive. In short, it may be said that the introduction of the Veedee for the applioatioC of Curative Vibration is one of ths greatest steps that has been ■saKeh’ in modern times against human suffering. Gafortu-.ately, there are still thousands of unfortunate sufferers in this world, many -of them enduring useless agonies through being ignorant ol the existence of the wonderful Veedee, which can drive away their pains. It |s with the object ol reaching ell aUhb that the Veedee Specialists have given and are giving Public Demonstrations in the various cities all over the world. The Veedee Specialists will he in Dunedin on Friday, May .8, and will give a demonstration at the Burns Hall, to which all are invited to coma. No charge is made lor admission, and no collection is taken, as it is the dfrire pi the Veedee Specialists that all sufferers, no matter how poor, shall be able to attend and see for themselves - what this -wonderful Health. Invention can dq.
