(Received September 19, at 10.15 a.m.) The Inspector-General of the. military forces, referring to the absence of liquor from last year’s camps, reports that, on the whole, dispensing with liquor lias proved an advantage. He also points out that as those men who had previously been accustomed to an alcoholic canteen completed their services its absence would not be noticed during the short training period in the militia.
