The names and addresses wore compiled bv means of a house-to-heuso canvass, and a'll other information has been obtained from official ami reliable sources. In order to facilitate the finding' of names, a number of references (nearly 1,000 in all) are given throughout the Alphabetical division. By means of these a person looking for a, name of which ho knows the pronunciation only will find the information sought for. The map of Wellington and suburbs and tho map of New Zealand have been corrected up to date. Tho street, country, alphabetical, trades, municipal and county, societies, and miscellaneous directories, containing local information, occupy over 1,100 pages, and tho ‘New Zealand Annual’ consists of a comprehensive and useful almanac, as well as a vast amount of commercial, utatistical, and general information relating to tho Dominion as a whole. The Customs tariff (with supplement of recent decisions) is revised to Ist September, 1913. Tho whole is bound in blue cloth covering, with gilt lettering, and makes a handsome volume.
