LODGE MEETING.

Tbs Hope of Dunedin Lodge, 1.0.G.T.. held their weekly meeting on Friday evening in the Social Hall, old Fire Brigade Station, the Chief Templar presiding. There was a good attendance of members and visitors. One candidate was initiated. Correspondence was received from the Pioneer and Grand Lodges and the U.X.K.C. As the sale of tickets showed that the lodge room would be too small for the anniversary, it was resolved to engage the Trades Hall The programme was submitted by the sub-committee, and after some alterations,, was approved of. The R.J.W. reported being unable to open the Juvenile Temple, as she had not received her commission, and the secretary was instructed to see that it was suppliedBeing Brothers’ Night, they tool; charge, and began with supplying light refreshments. They afterwards gave an excellent programme of musical items and recitations. The vote to the visitors was responded to by Bro. Robertson (Wellington), Bro. Burrows (Pioneer), Bro. Porter (Rescue), Bro Morrison (Lily of the Yalley), and Sister Coulter (Alliance). A vote was also accorded to the brothers for their efforts, the C.T. responding.
