KAIKORAI FOOTBALL GROUND COMPANY.
The 20th annual meeting of shareholders in tho Kaikorai Football Ground Company was held last evening in the Roslyn Council Chambers. Mr L. Kemnitz presided over half a dozen shareholders. The annual report (which was adopted) stated that a considerable sum of money could be spent to advantage on the property, but as no sales of shares have been made the board are restricted to the small surplus revenue from the rente. The Kaikorai Football Club, with the assistance °f the Rugby Union, laid down a track, which has been much appreciated. The ground, although not large, is one of the best about the City, and the thorough manner in which it was drained is now well repaying the initial expense. Now that the ground is in such good condition it was hoped that its earning power would be increased, and so enable further imto be carried out. There was still a liability of £125 on the property. The financial position of -the company is satisfactory, there being a credit balance of £32 4s lOd. The retiring directors (Messrs W. Sinclair and F. Farley) were re-elected. Mr F. Cufaitt was appointed to fill the vacancy caused by Mr J- Torrance’s resignation. At a meeting of directors held prior to the annual meriting it was decided to grant permission to the Kaikorai Football Club to install electric light op the ground and in the pavilion. It was also resolved to top-dress the ground next summer.
