After the wnial business had been conducted it was arranged to pay an official visit to Linden Lodge io witness the presentation of a. D.D.P. collar to Bro. A. Sunderland. 'J'h? lodge officers. were appointed a social committee to arrange a series of entertainments for the winter. 'lha fortnightly meeting of Pride of Mornington Lodge was held in the Temperance Hall, James place, on Friday, April 25, A.D. Bro. F; Lawrence presiding. Invitations received from Royal Oak and Linden were accepted. General Tontine business was attended to, and satisfaction was expressed that no brethren were on the sick list. The sum of £1 Is was donated to .assist a distressed brother. Good,progress is being made with membership, and; the lodge looks'forward to Lav--ing 100 members by the end of the vear. I.he Royal Oak Lodge met on Monday night, A.D. Bro. M'Naughton in the chair. There was a very large .attendance of members and visitors, the chief feature of the evening being a presentation to P.D.P Bro. J. Osmond of a P.D.P. collar. G.P. Lro . Steel made the presentation in a few weU-chosen remarks. P.D.P. Bro. Osmond suitably responded, and thanked the various officers and members, of visiting lodges lor their attendance. The toasts were responded to by G.P. Bro. Steel and the -Grand Lodge officers, D.P.s Bros. Whittv and Ureen (Nos. 1 and 2 Districts), A.D. Bro. Lyons'JOtago Lodge), A.D. Bro. Gray (Ivanhoe), A.D. -Bro. Gallie (Enterprise), A.D. Bro. Anderson (Bay Lodge), and A.D. Bro. Robertson (Pride of Mornington). A good musical programme was then gone through, and everybody went away well satisfied with the night's amusement. A sum of £1 Is was donated to the Rush fund.
