The weather continued fine yesterday. £9,964 was put through the totalisator, making a total for the meeting of £21,658, an increase of £8,144 over the Summer Meeting of last year. Turning for home, My Lawyer and Troon shot out from the others, and in the run home the former won comfortably by two lengths and a-lialf from Troon, who beat Oratava by three lengths. Donaldson, Walker, and Mears were beaten in their heats in the 130 Yards Handicap at Powder Hall. Shaw did not compete. Donaldson failed in his attempt to lower the 300 yds record. WRESTLING.

Great crowds attended the Eaglish League Soccer football matches on Boxing Day, and they witnessed some splendid contests. . The game between Liverpool and Newcastle United was brimful of exciting incidents, and it was not till the closing stages tha.t Liverpool was able to snatch a victory.
