It is understood that strong representations will be made by the Catholic authorities of Canada requesting the Vatican not to apply the Ne Temere decree to this Dominion, but to exclude Canada, in the same way that Germany is excluded from its operation.

SYDNEY: PROTESTANTS' PROTEST.

A united Protestant demonstration adopted a .series of resolutions against the Ne Temere decree, and askod the Federal Government to prohibit its promulgation and to secure its nullification.
