N.Z.R.U. The New Zealand Rngby Union's Management Committee mot at Wellington last The New Zealand University Football Committee wrote stating that the Sydney University Football Club had invited them to send to Sydney a team representing the New Zealand University during the present season. It was proposed to play two matches, against Sydney University and one match against an outside team. The following was the proposed itinerary:—Leave Wellington Juno 23, arrive Sydney Juno 27, play Sydney University on July 1 and 5, play a team to bo fixed by the New South Wales Rugby Union on July 8, leavo Sydnev on July 8, and arrive in Wellington on July 12. The team would consist of eighteen plavers and a manager. The Committee asked tho Union's permission for the tour.—The application was granted subject to the team agreeing to publish a statement of the receipts and expenditure after the tour .
The Committee of the English Union forwarded the following resolution:—" That such members of the Committee who reside in the metropolitan area or have a place of busurers in that area form the Laws Sub-committee, together with one accredited representative of the combined unions of New- Zealand, Queensland, and New Soith Wales, and one- oi the South African Board. All questions of interpretation of laws shall be referred to this Committee, which shall report its ruling to the full Committee, no ruling to take effect or be published until up proved of by tho full Committee. The representatives of the combined unions of New Zealand, Queens land, and New South Wales, and of the South African Board stall be invited to attend a meeting of the full Committee when tho rulings of the sub-committee are to be considered, and may vote thereon."— It was decided to get into communication with tho Queensland and New South Wales Unions with a view to a representative being appointed, and suggesting that Mr Wray Palliser should fill the office.
Sydney Paul, of Blenheim, who was disqualified four seasons ago for playing football under Northern Union rule*, applied to have his case reconsidered. —It was decided to inform the applicant that tho Union had no power to grant reinstatements.
Tho South Auckland Union notified that thoy had challenged the Auckland Union for the Ranfurly Shield.—lt was decided to ask the. Union if they had suggested a dato to the Auckland Union, or, if not, what date they proposed. The appointment of selectors for the South Island was held ovor. WEDNESDAY SOCCER. Southern met and defeated Post and Telegraph at tho Gardens by 5 goals to 1. Goals were scored by Storer (2), B. Edwards (2), and A. Rotting for Southern. For P. and T., Ross scored. For the winners B. Edwards, Storer, and Ashton played well, as did Ross, Goodmanson, and Brown for P. and T.
