As a protest against the refusal of tbo Shipping Federation to admit that seamen have any grievances requiring present discussion. the National Seamen’s Union are arranging holiday camps, starting on May 20, lasting for a fortnight. It is expected that 7,000 seamen trom various ports will join in the camp#. The Seamen’s Union officials deny that the movement is a strike, although it might develop into one at any moment.
