Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, -May 20. At (he annual meeting of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals the Hon. Stephen Coleridge, director of tho National Anti-Vivisection Society, secured the passing of a resolution calling on Earl Cromer to resign the vice-presidency, as he, is also president of (he Research Defence Society, which upholds vivisection. VOTE TO BE RECONSIDERED. LONDON, May 21. (Received May 22, at 8.25 a.m.) The snpporteis of the Coleridge, resolution include many women. The vote again comes before the Council, and if possible another general meeting will ho convened or else, all the members polled, owing to Lord Cromer’s great, services towards the protection of animals in Egypt.
