A BOY AND A GUN. [Pep. United Press Association.] HAMILTON, May 22. The tcn-voar-nld son of Mr Moses M’Nicklo was fatally shot on Saturday whilst playing with a loaded shot gun during his parents’ absence. It is surmised that the boy took down the gun from above the mantelpiece for the purpose of practising scout drill, and the concussion discharged the weapon, the shot shattering the lower parts of the boy’s head. A verdict that he was accidentally shot was returned at the inquest.

Theodore Davidson, a seaman on the lonic, fell down the companiouway of that vessel on Saturday night. He was taken to the Wellington Hospital suffering from concussion of tho spine and kidneys.—Wellington P.A. wire. Nellie Delaney, seventeen years of age, committed suicide at Wanganui on Saturday by jumping into tho river. It is said that as the result of a chastisement by her father she threatened to drown herself, and forthwith put her threat into execution.

C. Cohen, a tram conductor, fell off a Linwood tramcar on Saturday morning. Ho sustained a severe concussion and other injuries. Cohen, who was admitted to tho hospital, died this morning. He* was a single man, aged twenty years.
