[Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, May 22. Tho body of a nowly-bom male child was found in tho Hcathcote River yesterday. At the inquest this morning tho evidence showed that the child had been born alive, and that death was duo to failure to tie tho umbilical cord. Tho child was dead when put into tho water. No evidence of identity was forthcoming.
