(Received May 2, at 9.17 a.m.) The May Day demonstrators burned the entrance to the Place do Concorde, and assembled on the Champs Elysees, where the cuirassiers charged them. Several arrests were made, including a man who was tiring a revolver. A policeman was stabbed in the back. SOCIALISTS REPUDIATE LABOR. SYDNEY, May 2. (Received May 2, at 9.55 a.m.) The Socialists at a May Day meeting adopted a resolution repudiating the socalled Labor parties of Australia and condemning the conscription laws.
